Hello readers,

     Many of my friends ask me why didn't I post the picture of the recipes while cooking , the answer is I join blog to represent my mother's recipe, all recipes are 100% authentic and I wrote the recipes step by step so that everyone can understand, my main Moto is to represent the recipes with their historical background. Today I prepared one healthy vegan recipe "Thor Ghanta". 

Before giving you the recipe details let me tell you the benefits of Banana Stem. This is a rich source of fibre and helps in 'Weight Loss'. It's high fibre content creates a feeling of satiation and hence, reduces the intake of food.It also helps ease 'Constipation'. Banana Stem is Rich in 'Potassium'and ' Vitamin B6' just like the fruits.

Banana Stem also helping to combat 'Cholesterol' and' High Blood pressure'. It's favoured in Ayurvedic diets for it's detoxification properties and is also one of the best known Diuretics. Hope you like the information.

Ingredients:-

1. Banana Stem- 1(1-foot maximum) only use young stem.

2. Coconut- 1/2 cup (grated).

3. Black cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp.

4. Mustard Paste- 2 tbsp.

5. Turmeric powder-1 tsp.

6. Salt- To taste.

7. Sugar-1 tsp.

8. Mustard oil- 2 tbsp.

9. Ghee( clarified butter)- 1 tbsp.

10. Green chilies-4-5(or as per your taste).

Preparation Method:-

Step 1- Remove the outer layers of the banana stem. Chop the inner tender part of the stem into match stick size.

Step 2- Next dip in water with some salt and boil for 30 minutes. Discard water and rinse with cold water.

Step 3- Now crumbled boiled banana stem with your clean hand or masher.discard extra water. Set aside.

Step 4- Heat a pan add 2 tbsp mustard oil, now add black cumin seeds and 2-3 chopped green chilies, saute for few seconds.

Step 5- Now add mashed Banana Stem and stir properly for 4-5 minutes in low flame.

Step 6- Next add mustard Paste, salt,sugar and little water, combine all ingredients and cook until moisture evaporates and banana stem became light golden.

Step 7- Now add grated coconut mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Turn off flame.

Step 8- Next add ghee and slit green chilies and combine with Thor Ghanto.

Step 9- Now it's ready to serve with steam Rice.
