Crispy Chicken Popcorn with Cottage Cheese Dip



Hello readers,

  Today I came with a recipe which I believe you all love to eat like me "Chicken Popcorn with Cottage Cheese Dip".

         Popcorn chicken was invented by food technologist "Gene Gagliardi". It was test marketing in United States of America from March 1992,and had been launched Nationwide by September of the year. It has been periodically available in KFC outlets. It was re-introduced in the US in 1998,and again 2001.

Ingredients:-

1.Chicken breasts- 500g.( Boneless).

2. Onion powder-1 tsp.

3. Garlic- 4tsp(minced).

4. Dried oregano- 2tsp.

5. Dried thyme leaves- 2tsp.

6. Rosemary- 2tsp.

7. Cumin powder- 2tsp.

8. Lemon juice- 2tbsp.

9. Garam Masala powder- 2tsp.

10. Red Chili flakes- 2tsp.

11. Whole wheat brown bread- 8(slices).

12. Eggs- 2(raw).

13. Milk- 2tbsp.

14. All purpose flour- 1 cup.

15. Salt- To taste.

16. Vegetable oil- As required ( for deep frying).

Preparation Method:-

Step 1-  First wash chicken thoroughly. Cut into bite sized pieces.

Step 2- In a mixing bowl,combine chicken along with garlic mince,lemon juice, oregano, thyme, rosemary, Onion powder,red chili flakes and salt. Mix very well and set aside the marinated chicken.

Step 3- Make Crispy toast with brown bread slices. Allow to cool.

Step 4- Once bread slices cool down, transfer them into mixer jar. Grind the toasted bread until getting coarse bread crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl and add cumin Powder, garam masala powder. Mix well & set aside.

Step 5- Take another bowl, break eggs,add milk to the eggs and whisk lightly. Set aside.

Step 6- In other bowl place the all purpose flour. Set aside.

Step 7- Now Take a deep frying pan and place it on medium heat. Add sufficient oil and let it became hot.

Step 8- Now take marinated chicken popcorn pieces and first dipping in the beaten eggs,then roll in the all purpose flour,again dip it in egg once again and finally roll it in the bread crumbs.

Step 9-  Now check the oil temperature by dropping a pea side chicken piece. It it's start floating immediately ,then oil is ready. Fry chicken popcorns until they became golden in colour.

Step 10- Once they turn into golden transfer them on a kitchen towel. Serve hot Crispy chicken popcorns with Cottage Cheese Dip.

Cottage Cheese Dip

Ingredients:-

1. Cottage Cheese-1 cup( crumbled).

2. Extract virgin olive oil- 2tbsp+2tbsp.

3. Garlic - 2cloves(grated).

4. Black olives- 8( reseeded & chopped).

5. Red bell pepper-1( finely chopped).

6. Cayenne pepper-1tsp.

7. Salt-To taste.

Preparation Method:-

Step 1- whisk the cottage cheese in a bowl until smooth, add Cayenne pepper,Olive oil(2tbsp) and mix well set aside.

Step 1- Heat 2tbsp olive oil in a small pan. Add chopped red bell pepper, sprinkle pinch of salt, stir well on medium high heat. When pepper will slightly soften add half portion of black chopped olives and mix well.

Step 3- Now transfer (step-1) whisk cheese into the pan and combine all ingredients well. Check salt and spice levels. Adjust according your taste. Turn off flame.

Step 4- Transfer into a serving bowl and garnish with remaining chopped black olives.

Step 5- Serve with hot Crispy chicken popcorns.😊😋
