Stuffed Okra (Bharwa Bhindi)



 Hello friends,

      Today I will share with you the process to prepare a healthy vegetable delicacy "Bharwa Bhindi". Did you know friends Okra is a nutritious food with many health benefits. It's rich magnesium, folate, fiber, antioxidants and vitamin C, K1, vitamin A. Okra may benefit pregnant women,heart health and blood sugar control. It may even have anti cancer  properties. Also helps our  heal from wounds faster and boosts our immune system. So okra is good for our 1) Eyes. 2) Healthy skin. 3)Helps in production of RBC's. 4) Help to boosts immunity. 5)Helps in weight loss. 6) Good for diabetics. 7) Relives constipation. 8) Lower cholesterol levels. 9) Healthy Heart. 10) Reduce risk of colon cancer. Ingredients:-

1. Lady's fingers (Okra)- 500g.

2. Red chili powder-2tbsp.

3. Kashmiri red chili powder-1-1/2tsp.

4. Coriander powder- 2tbsp.

5. Dry mango Powder- 2tbsp.

6. Cumin powder- 2tbsp.

7. Onion- 1-1/2 cup(thick slices).

8. Fennel powder- 1tsp.

9. Garam Masala- 1tsp.

10. Turmeric powder-1tsp.

11. Desiccated Coconut- 4tbsp.

12. Asafoetida- A pinch.

13. Vegetable oil- 3tbsp.

14. Salt-To taste.

15. Coriander leaves- 2tbsp(chopped).

Preparation Method:-

Step 1- First clean,wash and wipe lady Fingers absolutely dry.discard half centimetre from both ends with a kitchen knife.

Step 2- Now give a slit on the okra without breaking it into two parts. The whole okra should be intact.

Step 3- Take a bowl. Now add red Chili powder, coriander powder,cumin powder, kashmiri red chili powder,fennel powder, dry mango powder, desiccated Coconut,turmeric powder,salt. Mix all spices well. Next stuff the lady Fingers with this spices. Keep the left over spices seperately.

Step 4- Heat oil in a wok. Add sliced onions and cook till soften, then add Asafoetida and saute for few seconds.

Step 5- Now add stuffed Okra, lower the flame and cover the wok. Sir occasionally.

Step 6- Next add rest of the dry masala when okra is almost done. Now add garam Masala powder and stir well.cook coverd on low flame.

Step 7-  Once lady Fingers fully cooked, garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with Roti.

My first recipe - Traditional Indian Sweets "Jibhey Gajaa"

Hello readers,       Today I'm going to share my first recipe with you,  before that I will share you the story of this dish, this is a sweet dish and very popular in Odisha (an eastern Indian state on the Bay of Bengal), they devoted this dish to Lord Jagannath (Hindu GOD), the dish named Jibhey Gajaa.   Dear friends,      Today I will share with you a recipe that every Indian I believe loves to eat. In Kolkata, it is known as 'Fuchka.' In north India(Delhi, Punjab), it is known as 'Golgappa.' In Gujarat, it is known as 'Panipuri.' Different categories Fuchka serve in the roadside of Kolkata. I can remember before this corona situation almost every day; I went to a Fuchka stall named 'Bombay store' with my colleagues. Several kinds of Fuchkas are available there like; 'Jal fuchka,' 'Chatni fuchka' but, I love to had 'Doi fuchka.' So, let's start making 'Panipuri' or 'golgappa.'
